Chelsea have a very inflated squad as the transfer window deadline approaches and the club are intent on making a bunch of sales. As per the Daily Mail, the Blues have 'clear the air' talks, with both parties collaborating to secure Sterling's permanent exit. In the meantime, a mutual agreement has been reached for the 29-year-old to train at home, according to The Times.

At a press conference on Wednesday, the Chelsea head coach admitted that the former Man City man doesn't fit the profile of winger that he wants in his side. "I am not saying Raheem is not a good player, but I prefer different kinds of wingers," Maresca said.
