WHAT HAPPENED?
The Portuguese’s latest outing in Saudi Arabia saw him bag another brace, taking him to 50 efforts in total for the 2023-24 campaign. That is a remarkable achievement in itself, given that the five-time Ballon d’Or is now 39 years of age and showing no sign of slowing down.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Ronaldo has made history in the Middle East with 35 Pro League goals – with nobody having ever netted more across a single campaign – while also becoming the first man to claim top scorer honours in four different countries.
WHAT RONALDO SAID
Golden Boots have been picked up in England, Spain, Italy and Saudi Arabia, with ex-United, Real Madrid and Juventus star Ronaldo posting on social media after cementing his legacy as an all-time great: “Proud to make history as the first top scorer in 4 countries. A huge thank you to all the clubs, teammates and staff who helped me along the way.”
