VIDEO: 'You thought I played sh*t?' - Cole Palmer leaves interviewer in hysterics after being accused of 'overthinking things' ahead of England's Euro 2024 quarter-final

Palmer hasn't exactly had the Euros that he had hoped for when he was named in Gareth Southgate's travelling squad. The Chelsea star has only made two appearances in Germany so far - both of them from the bench. In an interview with talkSPORT's Faye Carruthers, Carruthers pointed out to Palmer that she thought he had been 'overthing' things during a past game. The 22-year-old had a brilliant response lined up.

There is a chance that Palmer may finally get a start from Southgate after showing plenty of promise during England's dramatic 2-1 win over Slovakia in their last-16 tie. It was Palmer's cross into the box that Ivan Toney headed on for Harry Kane's winner in extra time.

The Three Lions will take on an in-form Switzerland side in the quarter-final of the Euros, and it is possible that Palmer may be in the starting line-up of the clash on July 6.
