As per the The Daily Mail, when a reporter approached her and asked how she was doing, Serra replied: "Perfect, thanks." She was once again quizzed on her frame of mind, and added: "Everything's fine." Serra, however, remained silent when asked if Guardiola's decision to sign a new contract at Man City was the reason for the couple's split.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Spanish journalists Laura Fa and Lorenza Vazquez broke the news of their split last week as they reported that things went downhill for Guardiola and Serra after the City boss opted to extend his contract with the club until 2027. Before signing the new deal, the 54-year-old manager reportedly flew to Barcelona in October to meet his wife and the couple went out for dinner at Guardiola's favourite restaurant, Bodega Sepulveda. A waiter at that restaurant told The Sun: "He came in with his wife about three months ago. They sat in the corner and things looked a little tense between them. He was talking animatedly. We were all shocked to hear that they had split."
