The 53-year-old's antics have drawn comparisons with Mourinho, who has made a habit of using gestures throughout his managerial career. Mourinho famously held up three fingers towards the end of his stint at Manchester United, and it has been put to Guardiola that his recent actions, coupled with the team's poor form, could be compared to the Portuguese's situation at Old Trafford.
WHAT GUARDIOLA SAID
He told reporters: "I hope not in my case... He won three, I won six.. but we are the same like that. We are together in the those situations. To make our fans know that we are much, much better than the people that sing that [Liverpool fans singing sacked in the morning]. Sooner or later it’s going to be the end but I will try to extend as much as possible for the best of my club.”
