Paris Hilton's brother-in-law joins Portuguese second-tier side Vilaverdense - despite being 45 years old and never having played professional football

At the age of 45 years old, Reum, who has never played football professionally and has only represented Columbia University, has joined the second-division Portuguese club, according to BOLA. Reum's brother, Carter is married to American businesswoman and socialite Paris Hilton.

The report further states that Vilaverdense are confident of the American striker's ability despite age being not on his side. The Portuguese side believes that Reum is extremely athletic and 'has the energy of a 20-year-old.'

Vilaverdense has struggled to find form in the ongoing season having managed to pick up just five wins from their first 19 games in the Liga Portugal 2. They are currently ranked 17th out of 18 teams in the league with 16 points.

The club, who have won only two out of their last five games, will be next seen in action on Friday against Santa Clara in a Liga Portugal 2 clash.
