THE BIGGER PICTURE
Yamal came into Barcelona's first-team debut last year at the age of 15 and has thoroughly impressed under all three coaches that he has played under so far: Xavi Hernandez, Luis De La Fuente and Hansi Flick. Through the start of the current season under Flick, Yamal has been sensational and has already become their main outlet alongside Raphinha.
WHAT NEXT FOR YAMAL?
The 17-year-old will be in action later tonight when Barcelona take on Monaco in the Champions League league stage opener, and Yamal will have the chance to become the tournament's second youngest goalscorer behind teammate Ansu Fati.
