  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Arteta has urged Arsenal's fans to "tweak" their current atmosphere at the Emirates and increase the hostility as the club prepare to welcome Liverpool in the third round of the FA Cup on Sunday. The Gunners have lost their last two games, including a 2-0 defeat to West Ham in north London.

    WHAT ARTETA SAID

Quoted by The Guardian, Arteta told reporters: “Can we tweak it and make it even more hostile? I think we can. That’s the next step in my opinion. We have to be so grateful for what we’re achieving in our home ground. Sunday is going to be another big one."

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Arsenal have the fourth-best home record in the Premier League, behind Aston Villa, Liverpool, and Newcastle, having won seven, drawn two and lost one of their 10 games. They also have the fourth-best away record, with five wins, two draws and three losses. Arteta should, then, have every confidence against Jurgen Klopp's Reds - although neither team will be wearing that colour thanks to an important local initiative.
