During Getafe's 1-1 draw with Real Sociedad on Sunday, the Manchester United loanee is understood to have been called a "rapist" and told to "die" by some away supporters. WHAT GETAFE'S MANAGER SAID

After the contest, Bordalas said, via Spanish publication AS: “I don't have much to say. It is unacceptable. This is not the first time this has happened to us and we must take action. Like what happened in the game against Sevilla.”

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

Greenwood, who was allowed to leave for La Liga earlier this season, had charges of attempted rape, assault and coercive control dropped in early 2023 - after initially being arrested in January 2022 and then suspended by United - but is still receiving abuse from sections of supporters.
