Marcus Rashford sets up Spanish training base! Man Utd outcast waits for news of potential Barcelona transfer in Costa del Sol with future set to be decided this summer

Rashford is training in Marbella during the post-season in an attempt to be fit and raring to go for the 2025-26 campaign. The England international is facing an uncertain future, with United expected to sever ties with him after sanctioning a loan move to Aston Villa in January. Rashford ended that temporary spell under Unai Emery with four goals and five assists in all competitions, but the Villans aren't expected to turn his stay into a permanent one ahead of next season.

Barcelona has been touted as a potential destination for Rashford, who still has three years left to run on his contract at Old Trafford. Mundo Deportivo report the 27-year-old is currently training in Marbella as he awaits news on his future, but a move to Camp Nou could be tricky for the La Liga champions to facilitate. Money remains tight and Hansi Flick's side have other targets they are prioritising, namely Liverpool's Luis Diaz and Athletic Club's Nico Williams.

Barcelona are trying to streamline their squad and have most recently looked to secure an exit for goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen. The Germany international has been forced out, with Espanyol star Joan Garcia due to arrive and Wojciech Szczesny expected to pen an extension, and Galatasaray are reportedly close to finalising a deal for the 33-year-old.

Rashford is expected to leave United this summer, having not seen eye-to-eye with Ruben Amorim after the Portuguese manager arrived as Erik ten Hag's successor, but where he will end up remains unclear.
