WHAT HAPPENED?
Per Record, United have sent scouts to watch Benfica as they continue to scout former youth player Alvaro Carreras. The Spain U21 international initially left United on loan in January of 2024 but Benfica signed him permanently in the summer for a €6 million (£5m) fee. Now, the Red Devils are said to be considering a swoop to re-sign the left-back, in case they fail to agree a deal for Patrick Dorgu of Lecce.
