<p>Manchester United's humbling defeat at home to Tottenham on Sunday has put Ten Hag's job at risk, despite signing a one-year extension in the summer. The Dutchman will be <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/why-man-utd-not-hasty-sack-under-pressure-erik-ten-hag-explained/blt928432483477949e" target="_blank">given the Porto and Aston Villa games</a> to prove his worth at Old Trafford as it would cost £17.5 million ($23.4m) to tear up his contract, GOAL can report. Ten Hag would have been owed around £10m ($13.4) if he was dismissed this past summer.</p>

<p>The Red Devils have picked up just seven points from their first six Premier League matches this season, leaving them drifting away from the top teams already.
