Safety boards and authorities have decided the match will indeed go ahead as first planned, with kick-off at Anfield set for 4:30pm GMT.
WHAT LIVERPOOL SAID
A statement from Liverpool read: "Today’s fixture against Manchester United will go ahead as planned. Two safety meetings were held earlier to assess the weather and travel conditions. We thank everyone involved in helping us to get this game on today.
"If you’re travelling to Anfield then please take extra care. We look forward to seeing you there."

Trains and flights into Liverpool were cancelled on Sunday morning, while icy conditions on the roads made it difficult to enter the city too. Nevertheless, it has been determined the fixture can go ahead.
