    THE BIGGER PICTURE

The wait is over—18 days will pass before the playoffs resume following the pause for the Play-In matches, where Pachuca and Rayados emerged as winners and qualified as the seventh and eighth seeds, respectively.

Teams in great form, like Toluca, could be affected by the lack of activity, while others like América benefited from the break to recover injured players.

Following Sunday, the semifinalists will be determined, and things will become clearer regarding the true favorites, as anything can happen in the quarterfinals—especially after such a long break.

    WHAT THE COACHES SAID

"Waiting 15 days… the team that plays the Play-In comes in with more rhythm. We have to wait 18 days to play—it's not serious. But surely, they must have thought the schedule through carefully. They don’t have to ask me," stated Antonio Mohamed, coach of Toluca, who finished as the top team in the regular season.

Meanwhile, América’s coach André Jardine saw the break as something positive:
"I try not to judge anything. It is what it is—we’ve already adapted. At this point, it's going to be very good to pause, especially to have players who need time. Henry needs to train; he needs 10 days to get in shape," he said. "We're going to have even more than that, and it will be very good for us."
