Yoro was a statement signing for United, particularly as they beat Real Madrid to his signature. However, his injury is a big blow to them and it may have been keenly felt during the rest of a difficult pre-season campaign. That has heightened the need for more reinforcements in that area of the pitch, with the Red Devils chasing Bayern Munich defensive duo Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui.

Yoro's United side return to action on Saturday against rivals Manchester City at Wembley in the Community Shield, before they begin their 2024-25 Premier League season at home to Fulham on August 16.
