WHAT HAPPENED?
According to TEAMtalk, Leeds are keen on bringing the 22-year-old to Elland Road if they earn promotion to the Premier League this season. The Yorkshire outfit are said to see the left-back as a potential replacement for Junior Firpo, who is in the last months of his contract. However, Forest are keen to bolster their full-back options and now they are showing 'major interest' in Bueno, who is on loan at Feyenoord.
AFPTHE BIGGER PICTURE
Leeds' chances of signing the young defender are contingent on them getting promoted from the Championship this summer. If they fail to go up, Forest would be in a very strong position to sign him. Moving to a side that could be playing Champions League football next term could be very enticing but his chances of game time there, with Neco Williams and Aston Villa loanee their current left-backs, may be more difficult. Moreover, a Feyenoord transfer may not be beyond the realms of possibility.
DID YOU KNOW?
Bueno has made 25 appearances for the Dutch giants this season, providing four assists and getting valuable experience in the Champions League, too. Incidentally, Leeds left-back Firpo is reportedly unlikely to sign a contract extension with Daniel Farke's men amid links with a Real Betis return.
