    THE BIGGER PICTURE

The match marked the second-highest attendance at an MLS match this season, and the 14th-highest of all-time in league history. The result broke what was a three-way-tie across the top of the Western Conference, with LAFC leapfrogging the Galaxy and Real Salt Lake into first-place with 43 points, while the former two sit on a close 40-points.

  • WHAT KAMARA SAID

"This is what soccer is about, man, seriously. For me, I grew up in this LA area. I'm not a homegrown player, but I feel like a homegrown player right now," Kamara said after scoring the game-winner just before the cusp of halftime. "To be able to play in this arena with this packed crowd and make history like that – Black and Gold, baby."
