Kieran McKenna on the move?! In-demand coach set to rebuff Ipswich's attempts to keep him amid Man Utd, Chelsea & Brighton interest

The Englishman did a phenomenal job as Ipswich boss as he helped them secure back-to-back promotions to the Premier League. Under his tutelage, the club finished second behind Leicester City in the Championship in the 2023/24 campaign and returned to the top division for the first time since the 2001/02 season.

Despite having an active contract until 2027, the Tractor Boys are planning to offer their manager a new long-term deal, however, according to BBC, McKenna will reject any new contract offers that come his way as he is prepared to take the next step in his career amid interest from clubs like Chelsea, Manchester United and Brighton.

The Blues are reportedly the frontrunners to secure the 38-year-old's signature at the moment as they look to move swiftly to replace Mauricio Pochettino who left Stamford Bridge on Tuesday. The Red Devils are also in contention to bring back McKenna if they decide to sack Erik ten Hag after the FA Cup final on Saturday.

For now, the manager will enjoy a well-earned break in the off-season. Ipswich recently confirmed that they will play a pre-season friendly against German club Fortuna Dusseldorf on July 27 at Portman Road.
