Kevin De Bruyne reveals what his team-mates think of him being forced out of Man City after Belgian delivers crucial win over Wolves

The Belgian struck the only goal in City's 1-0 win over Wolves on Friday which kept them on track to finish in the top five and qualify for the Champions League. It was De Bruyne's penultimate match at the Etihad Stadium and he revealed what his team-mates think of his imminent departure, which was confirmed last month.

De Bruyne told Sky Sports: "I know that I only have one home game left but I just try to to my job and that's what I did today. A lot of teammates have said that it's sad I have to go too but that's just how it goes sometimes in life."

De Bruyne repeated his belief that he still has something to offer City, having previously admitted to feeling let down by Pep Guardiola and sporting director Txiki Begiristain's decision to resist extending his contract with the club where he has spent the last decade.

"I don't know what the future will be, but I know that I can still play here," he added.

City have won four Premier League games in a row for the first time since the start of the season and are on course to end their toughest season under Guardiola on a high. They are now three points behind Arsenal in second place and have the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace to look forward to.

De Bruyne added: "I am still enjoying it, and we still have a job to do. It was a hard game today but we found the way to win. Now we can just relax a bit and see what the other teams do this weekend. It has been tough year but we are finding a bit of a groove. We are winning the games that we need to so let's hope we can end the season like that."

De Bruyne's final game at the Etihad Stadium is against Bournemouth on May 20 while he could add one more trophy to his bulging collection of silverware won with City in the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace on May 17.
