WHAT HAPPENED?
Phillips, who is currently on loan at West Ham United, will return to Manchester City at the end of the current season. Having failed to establish himself as a regular starter under Pep Guardiola, the English midfielder is likely to be sold permanently in the upcoming summer transfer window. The Cityzens are expected to demand a transfer in the region of £30m (€35m).

The Whites are currently third in the Championship table, one point behind an automatic promotion slot. They will be looking to bring back their star midfielder on an initial loan deal as they are reluctant to meet City's price, according to the Daily Mail.
