Jude Bellingham reveals brilliant story about watching brother Jobe with Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti

The older Bellingham brother was keeping tabs on Jobe from afar as Sunderland took on Rotherham United in the Championship in August 2023. Jobe helped the Black Cats to a 2-1 victory with a fine brace, much to Bellingham's delight. However, that delight turned to shock when Ancelotti told him of his intentions not only to sign Jobe, but to play him in Bellingham's position.

Speaking on the first episode of his 'Out of the Floodlights' documentary, Bellingham said: "I'm in shock that he's scored twice and then I'll never forget as we're coming out Ancelotti goes to me, 'f*cking hell, we brought the wrong one.' And I'm like, 'you're joking.' He says, 'no seriously, I'm going to bring him in.' I said, 'well where are you going to play him?' He says, 'in your position.' I was like, 'f*ck that!' And then finally he gave me a little smirk and my heart just dropped and I thought okay, fine. And then I'm like, no pressure for today!"

Pressure? What pressure? Later that day, Bellingham would grab a brace of his own in Los Blancos' 3-1 win against Almeria. A fine response to Ancelotti's jibe, then.

The 21-year-old has failed to get going in his sophomore Real season after suffering a muscle injury in training last month. He's been spotted in training this week though and could return to action against Real Sociedad on Saturday.
