Is Joshua Kimmich finally on the move? PSG in talks to sign Bayern Munich star amid uncertainty around his future

Following recent discussions with Bayern, reported by FootMercato, PSG have learned both the asking price for Kimmich and the player's salary expectations. The undiscloed figures would be within their reach if they decide to go ahead.

PSG's priority midfield signing is believed to be Benfica and Portugal talent Joao Neves. But the 19-year-old is not the only target, with the French giants also seeking a more defensive-minded profile. Kimmich ticks that box, while PSV's Jerdy Schouten has also been on the radar. Long-rumoured Barcelona interest in Kimmich has gone cold in recent weeks.

Kimmich has already entered the final year of his Bayern Munich contract. The 29-year-old joined from RB Leipzig in 2015 and has made 390 appearances for the club. Back in 2022, he admitted being tempted by the idea of playing abroad.

If PSG have ambitions of bringing in two new midfielders this summer, they may also have to offload players from that part of the pitch. Manuel Ugarte remains linked with Manchester United, with Fabian Ruiz, Xavi Simons, Carlos Soler, Vitinha, Cher Ndour, Warren Zaire-Emery, Renato Sanches, Senny Mayulu and Gabriel Moscardo all under contract.
