According to a report by Gianluca Dimarzio, Inter have made a surprise move for former player and current Parma manager Cristian Chivu as their new coach. THE BIGGER PICTURE

After the 5-0 humiliation against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final, Inzaghi informed the club of his decision to leave for Al-Hilal. Apart from Fabregas, Inter were also considering Genoa boss Patrick Vieira as Inzaghi’s successor, however, the latest developments suggest Parma boss Chivu is all set to take charge.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

In the 2009-10 season, Chivu won the treble with Inter as a player under the leadership of manager Jose Mourinho. He spent seven years with the club overall, retiring at the end of that spell with three Serie A titles to his name.
