'Hope that's blackcurrant' - Harry Maguire aims playful dig at Man Utd team-mate Rasmus Hojlund as striker reveals he's hungry for Premier League success

With the 2024-25 season just over a month away, Danish forward Hojlund took to social media to playfully highlight how excited he was for the new campaign, by feasting on a meaty dinner. That led Maguire and his United team-mates to react in various ways.

Alongside the Dane posting a photo of him chowing down on a rib, he wrote in his Instagram post: "This is how hungry I am for the season to start."

That led United team-mate Maguire to comment: "I hope that's blackcurrant in that glass," in reference to what looked like a glass of red wine on Hojlund's table.

Hojlund and Maguire had up and down seasons in 2023-24, with issues with form and injury hampering their campaigns. After ending the season on a high with a FA Cup triumph, the Red Devils will look to fire up the Premier League table - while also winning trophies again - following an eighth-placed finish last time out.

Hojlund, who represented Denmark at this summer's Euros, is set to begin his pre-season campaign, with United set for friendlies against Rosenborg, Rangers, Arsenal, Real Betis and Liverpool in the next few weeks.
