    WHAT KOMPANY SAID

Kompany did not shy away from expressing his admiration for Kane following the Union Berlin match. The Belgian coach highlighted the relentless work ethic he sees every day in Sabener Strasse which has helped Kane reap the rewards on matchdays.

"I see a lot of practice. When he gets behind the ball and shoots I can recognise something he is practising many many days in training," he said.

Kompany also pointed to the synergy within the Bayern squad, emphasising that a team effort is required to create opportunities that Kane can capitalise on.

He added: "But of course, it takes a team to create the situations and it takes a player like him to be confident and he has done it so many times for Bayern Munich and that's something that adds a lot of value to us of course."
