Gio Reyna told he must 'step on the gas' to win back Borussia Dortmund spot as Sebastian Kehl issues 'dissatisfied' USMNT star with strong warning amid transfer speculation

The Dortmund chief has told Sky Germany: "Gio had a difficult time and was often injured. It's not easy because of the line-up we have in the center. I can understand that he may be dissatisfied at the moment. But it's also important for him to step on the gas."

It has been suggested that Reyna could move on to pastures new before the January window shuts, with clubs in Ligue 1 and La Liga reportedly weighing up a formal approach. The 21-year-old is still under contract at Dortmund until 2025, but may decide to seek an early exit so that he can start playing regularly again, particularly with the USMNT gearing up for the Copa America on home turf this summer.

Reyna's chances of getting back into Terzic's starting XI have been further damaged by the return of Jadon Sancho, who rejoined BVB on loan from Manchester United last week.
