Erik ten Hag to link up with Jurgen Klopp? Sacked Man Utd manager lined up for RB Leipzig role with return to Germany mooted

Ten Hag has been without a club since exiting Old Trafford at the end of October, with Ruben Amorim replacing him at the helm. The Dutch coach, who signed a new contract this summer, was forced to leave the job early in the 2024-25 campaign due to the Red Devils' nightmare start to the season.

However, Sky Germany's Patrick Berger has now claimed that Ten Hag could find himself a new club soon as he is on RB Leipzig's list of potential replacements for Rose. The Bundesliga side are winless in their last six matches across all competitions, which includes a humiliating 5-1 defeat at home to Wolfsburg last weekend.

Other than the former United coach, ex-Benfica manager Roger Schmidt is also being considered as an option to replace Rose, though he is unlikely to return to management until the summer.

If Ten Hag does decide to take up the Leipzig job, he will get an opportunity to link up with old foe Klopp, who will formally join the Red Bull group as their head of global soccer next month.
