  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Chelsea are preparing for the Conference League final against Betis and Maresca says the club have yet to decide whether to activate Sancho's £25 million ($34m) purchase option. The club have technically triggered an option to buy the winger, after they finished higher than 15th, but they can override that by paying United £5m ($7m).

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Sancho has played 40 times for Chelsea in all competitions but has been limited to 19 starts in the Premier League. He has contributed four goals and 10 assists but in 17 league games since January, he has scored just once and laid on one assist. Now, with it unclear if he will be involved in the final, Maresca has refused to give a definitive answer on the former Borussia Dortmund star's future.

  • WHAT ENZO MARESCA SAID

Maresca told reporters: "Tomorrow, we have the final and then in the next 24 or 48 hours we will talk about the future but no decision has been made on Jadon or any other player."
