WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Ramsdale played a huge role in Arsenal's resurgence under Mikel Arteta, named in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year for 2022-23. But Arteta had other ideas and he surprisingly lost his place to new signing David Raya before last season, paving the way for a <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/aaaron-ramsdale-explains-arsenal-relegation-southampton-premier-league-mikel-arteta-gunners/bltdd9f3f3c617c08b5" target="_blank">£25 million ($32.8m) switch to Southampton</a>.</p>
