  • WHAT HAPPENED?

The 26-year-old has been a focal part of Palace's resurgence under Oliver Glasner and is unsurpisingly drawing interest from the Premier League's big dogs. Eze has been a target for plenty of teams in recent years but with his contract having just two years remaining on it, the Eagles may consider cashing in on their superstar, with Eddie Howe and Newcastle very interested in the midfielder alongside Mikel Arteta's Arsenal.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

According to Sky, Newcastle are planning for life without Sandro Tonali, who is reportedly keen to leave St James' Park this summer. Should that be the case, the Magpies boss is keen to activate Eze's reported £60million (€70m/$76m) and help him realise his full potential at a club playing regular European football. It is likely that Eze will only come if one of Newcastle's stars depart, due to financial fair play restrictions.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Arsenal also have a strong interest in the England international, but have plenty of other targets - including Nico Williams and Victor Gyokeres - on their list, which could leave Newcastle in the driving seat to pursue Eze's signature.

    WHAT NEXT FOR EZE?

Eze will be keen to finish the season well and impress any potential suitors ahead of the summer window. Palace have a place in the FA Cup semi-finals against Aston Villa, giving the midfielder the perfect platfrom to shine.
