According to Fabrizio Romano, Juventus have agreed personal terms with O'Riley but can only make a move for the Brighton midfielder once they have sold Luiz. Juventus are weighing up a loan with an obligation to buy for O’Riley, who is one of three candidates to replace Luiz.

THE BIG PICTURE
Juventus have been seeking midfield reinforcements for coach Igor Tudor. After failed approaches for Sporting CP’s Morten Hjulmand and Sandro Tonali, Juventus turned their attention to O’Riley, with Brighton open to selling for around €30 million (£25m/$35m) after signing him from Celtic last season. Juventus are also keeping tabs on Tottenham’s Yves Bissouma.
With the summer window nearing its conclusion and activity picking up, Juventus will hope potential suitors step forward for Luiz. Meanwhile, O’Riley is eager for the club to agree a fee with Brighton, viewing the move as a step up in his career, with Juventus able to offer European football.
