THE BIGGER PICTURE
In the video, a man can be seen using a US bank note to snort a line of a white powder. The Sun claim the video was taken on July 6, one day after Coote acted as a support VAR official for the quarter-final clash between Spain and Germany at Euro 2024. Coote is alleged to have filmed himself in his hotel and sent the clip to a friend.
WHAT PGMOL SAID
“We are aware of the allegations and are taking them very seriously," a PGMOL spokesperson said. "David Coote remains suspended pending a full investigation. David’s welfare continues to be of utmost importance to us and we are committed to providing him with the ongoing necessary support he needs through this period. We are not in a position to comment further at this stage.”
