Reports in Italy have claimed that leading players, such as USMNT star Pulisic and France international Theo Hernandez, are unhappy with the current coaching regime. That has sparked rumours of Conceicao seeing his contract terminated in the summer.

Conceicao can see the funny side of those reports, saying in the aftermath of a 1-1 derby draw with arch-rivals Inter: “There have been rumours about my future, but I’ve just arrived. I still have the luggage in my car and they [media] want to send me away already.”
