In March, it was reported that the Premier League giants could consider sending Paez out on loan to Strasbourg immediately after he formally joins the club. Journalist Ben Jacobs has claimed that despite training at Starsbourg's facilities, it is unlikely that the youngster will be sent out on loan to the Ligue 1 side as the West London club plan to include him in Enzo Maresca's squad that will travel to the US for the inaugural FIFA Club World Cup.

Maresca's men will be back in action on Thursday as they take on Legia Warszawa in the first leg of their Europa Conference League quarter-final fixture away from home.
