Chelsea kept a clean sheet and went on to win 3-0 thanks to a Cole Palmer double, but this was a single blotch on an otherwise great day for the club after a top performance against tournament favourites PSG. Fernandez was seen stood up on the sidelines in stoppage time and took to the pitch in delight with his team-mates after the final whistle.

It was an eventful day for Fernandez, who was also involved in a flare-up with Achraf Hakimi in the first half. The Argentine's match was cut short due to injury but he was still seen in the thick of it when both sets of players clashed again after the final whistle.
