The England and Blues star, who has been out of action for the majority of the season due to multiple injuries, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/chelsea-reece-james-injury-hamstring-surgery/blt6f04863f47f91620#cscb60b6866a1d7b6d" target="_blank">underwent surgery</a> on his hamstring in December and was expected to be sidelined for three to four months.

Last month Chelsea boss <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/reece-james-chelsea-mauricio-pochettino-season-may-be-over-injury-update-christopher-nkunku/bltb4889154834de6ab#cs761b54066afc7d35" target="_blank">Mauricio Pochettino opened up on the club captain's condition</a> as he hinted that the defender's season might be over. On Wednesday, James gave an update on his injury as he shared a cryptic message on social media.

The 24-year-old took to Instagram where he uploaded a story which had a message that read, "I've been gone a while, but I'm doing well. Really well. The journey has been long and tough, but nothing I couldn't handle. I'm in a good place. The comeback is on, more hungry than ever.
