Flamengo wasted no time taking to social media to rub salt in the Blues' wounds after Nicolas Jackson took the headlines for another red card in his side's 3-1 defeat. The Brazilian outfit were outstanding in the second half, though, and were well worth their victory. They were clearly in confident mood as the club's official X page teased Chelsea after full-time with a post which has gone viral.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Flamengo called Chelsea 'London Blue', which is a reference to the club's former name on Pro Evolution Soccer 3 and 4 in the early 2000s. PES has been known to use alternative and often creative monikers to get around licensing issues for the use of official club names in their game. Interestingly, Chelsea were once known as 'Liguria' on PES 2 before becoming 'West London Blue' and then later 'London FC'. Flamengo's nod to this is a clever but cheeky ploy after they sunk the Londoners with three second-half goals.
WHAT FLAMENGO SAID
Flamengo's tweet read: "Easy win against London Blue!" Simple but effective, and certainly enjoyed by fans who praised the unique idea in the comments. One fan said: "'Easy win' love you admin". Another added: "South America owns Europe".
WHAT NEXT FOR FLAMENGO AND CHELSEA?
Flamengo have already qualified for the Club World Cup round of 16 with a game to spare after two impressive victories and five goals scored. They will feel that they have a great chance to go far into the competition, which they have never won before. Chelsea still have work to do against ES Tunis in their final Group D game on Wednesday, with both sides locked on three points and only one able to join Flamengo in the last 16.
