Several days after Madrid's thumping 3-0 loss to Arsenal in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie, manager Ancelotti is said to have held a meeting with his players as they seek a "remontada" (a comeback). According to journalist Miguel Ángel Díaz, the Italian was 'very energetic' and 'even raised his voice' to his squad at an animated team meeting on Monday ahead of the Gunners game.

Madrid's season is in danger of falling apart as they are four points behind Barcelona in La Liga and face a huge task to overturn this deficit against Arsenal. Question marks have continued over Ancelotti's future so he will want Los Blancos to come out firing for the remainder of the season.

Madrid may yet end this season with some silverware, after a Champions League and league double last term, as they take on Barca in the final of the Copa del Rey next month.

Ancelotti's Madrid will hope to pull off an improbable comeback against Arsenal at Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday. After that, it's a clash with Athletic Club in La Liga.
