Bayern Munich have decided to completely pull out of the deal for Nicolas Jackson. The Senegal international had reached Munich earlier this week to complete a loan move to the Bavarian club, but Chelsea decided to pull the plug on the transfer after Liam Delap sustained an injury. With Bayern now ending all negotiations, the striker will return to London.

WHAT HAPPENED?
Jackson's dream of playing for Bayern is over as the German champions have decided not to pursue a move for the Senegalese forward before the summer window closes, according to Sky Sports' Florian Plettenberg. Bayern have pulled out of the deal and the player and his representative Ali Barat will now return to London.

Earlier in the summer, Jackson was deemed surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge following the arrivals of Delap and Joao Pedro from Ipswich Town and Brighton and Hove Albion respectively. However, following Delap's injury, Enzo Maresca had only Pedro as his sole proper forward in his squad and that prompted him to call back Jackson.
