Arsenal are closing in on signing Sporting CP's star forward Viktor Gyokeres after agreeing personal terms with the player. The Gunners are now negotiating a deal for the 27-year-old and are reportedly in advanced talks with the Portuguese champions.     According to The Athletic, the Gunners are now discussing the transfer for Gyokeres with Sporting CP but are confident of securing the transfer after agreeing personal terms with the forward. The English giants are reportedly offering a five-year contract, which the player has agreed.

    The report adds that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta wants the club to finalise the deal as soon as possible so that the player can join the squad for their pre-season from the beginning. The Gunners stars are expected to reconvene later this month before heading to Asia for pre-season.
