Arsenal stand firm! Gunners reject Emile Smith Rowe transfer bids from Fulham & Crystal Palace despite winger barely featuring in 2023-24

The young midfielder made just three starts in the league under Mikel Arteta last season, as Arsenal once again finished runners-up to champions Manchester City. These limited opportunities have prompted speculation about Smith Rowe's future at the Emirates Stadium. The 23-year-old is a product of Arsenal’s academy and made a significant breakthrough during the 2021-22 season. However, injuries and the impressive form of Gabriel Martinelli have stifled his progress.

According to Sky Sports, despite his struggles, Fulham and Crystal Palace have shown interest in acquiring Smith Rowe. Both clubs reportedly submitted offers that were swiftly rejected by Arsenal. The two London rivals are now contemplating whether to make improved bids before the transfer window closes.

Aware of the need for more playing time, Smith Rowe is considering his options. His current contract with Arsenal is due to run until the summer of 2026, but he may seek a move to secure a more prominent role elsewhere. Arsenal are reportedly open to negotiations and could be persuaded to sell if the right offer comes in, which might be around £25 million ($33m), according to talkSPORT.

Crystal Palace are particularly eager to secure Smith Rowe’s services following the departure of Michael Olise to Bayern Munich earlier this summer. Olise's transfer, which brought in over £50 million ($65m), has left a significant gap in Palace’s lineup and they believe Smith Rowe has the potential to fill it.
