Arsenal dealt new injury 'scare' as Kai Havertz suffers muscle problem during mid-season trip to Dubai - leaving Mikel Arteta with only three fit forwards

Arsenal have jetted out to Dubai for a warm weather training camp but have suffered more injury misery as Havertz has sustained a muscular issue, according to the Daily Mail. The German's injury is thought to be hamstring-related and the fear for Arsenal is that it may force him onto the sidelines.

Mikel Arteta is already without some key attackers due to injury and will be loathe to see Havertz join the list. Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli all currently sidelined and, if Havertz were also to be ruled out, it would leave the Arsenal boss with Raheem Sterling, Ethan Nwaneri and Leandro Trossard as his only fit attackers.

Havertz is currently Arsenal's top scorer this season with 15 goals in all competitions for the Gunners.

Arsenal are due to return to action on Sunday against struggling Leicester City in the Premier League. Fans will have to wait and see if Havertz is available to play against the Foxes or if he is set for a spell out of the side.
