Arsenal's Eddie Nketiah transfer stance revealed as Crystal Palace reignite interest in out-of-favour striker

According to Daily Mail, the initial enquiry made by Palace for the England international has been turned down by Arsenal. The Eagles have been informed that the 24-year-old is not available for sale during the January transfer window.

Although Nketiah impressed in the first few months of the campaign, the return of Gabriel Jesus to full fitness has consigned him to being a benchwarmer. However, Mikel Arteta remains a huge admirer of his skillset and sees him as an integral figure in the squad which led the Gunners to rule out any potential sale in January.

Nketiah has six goals and four assists this campaign for Arsenal, with five of those strikes coming in the Premier League. Jesus also has 10 goal contributions, seven strikes and three assists, which shows why Arteta values Nketiah as one of the key members of his squad.

Arsenal have been linked with a move for Ivan Toney and it has been reported that even if the Gunners manage to land the Brentford forward, they will not allow their 24-year-old player to leave as Arteta is looking to add to his squad depth before heading into the business end of the 2023-24 campaign. They will return to action against Fulham on Sunday.
