    THE BIGGER PICTURE

His impressive performances for his club towards the end of the season earned the midfielder a call-up to the Turkish national team at the European Championship, where he had a fantastic outing as he helped his team reach the quarter-finals.

  • WHAT TONI KROOS SAID

With Guler gearing up to start afresh with the Spanish champions ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, former Real star Kroos opened up on the Turkey international's talent as he said on Sky in Germany: "He has a great future if he stays healthy. What sets Arda apart from other young players is that he is open to learning. Since he arrived he paid a lot of attention to everything we did before and after training. There aren't many players like that today.

"He really wants to learn and improve. His finishing and his left foot are incredible, we all noticed that from the first training session."
