<p>After a trophyless 2023-24 campaign, AC Milan parted ways with Stefano Pioli as they brought in former Porto and Lille coach Paulo Fonseca at the club. However, under the Portuguese manager's tutelage, the Serie A giants are off to a nightmare start. They have managed to register just one win in their first four league clashes and suffered a <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/liverpool-player-ratings-vs-ac-milan-virgil-van-dijk-ibrahima-konate/blt2fd72bf608079d4c" target="_blank">humiliating 3-1 defeat at the hands of Liverpool</a> in their Champions League opener on Tuesday.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>The poor start to the new season has prompted the Rossoneri to consider parting ways with Fonseca. Per <a href="https://x.com/berger_pj/status/1836432183738630178" target="_blank">Sky Sports' Patrick Berger</a>, the Italian club have reportedly enquired about the availability of former Borussia Dortmund boss Edin Terzic who guided the German side to the Champions League final earlier this summer.</p>

<p>After the defeat against the Reds, USMNT star <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/christian-pulisic-ac-milan-change-champions-league-liverpool-usmnt-disastrous-start/bltb00f37917f8212e7#cse009e6d3ef6c4718" target="_blank">Christian Pulisic had called for a change</a> in the approach of the team. The former Chelsea star had handed AC Milan a third-minute lead, however, the team later crumbled under pressure and conceded three goals.</p>
