According to Marca, United are exploring options to sign in-form Real Sociedad goalkeeper Remiro ahead of the 2024/25 season. The Premier League giants will look to negotiate the Spanish custodian's release clause, which is set at €70m (£60m).

Remiro has appeared in 33 La Liga games for his club in the current campaign where he managed to keep 13 clean sheets. In contrast, the Red Devils' first-choice goalkeeper Onana leaked 55 goals in 35 appearances in the Premier League as the club currently have a negative goal difference.

The 20-time English champions are looking to offload a host of players from their current squad in the summer and the Cameroonian goalkeeper might find his name on that list in case the club manage to sign Remiro.

Erik ten Hag's side will be next seen in action in the Premier League on Sunday as they host title aspirants Arsenal in a vital clash.
