    WHAT HAPPENED?

Ramsdale's long-awaited return to the Gunners' starting lineup looked set to be a disappointing one after his error led to Yoane Wissa's equaliser following Declan Rice's opener. However, Kai Havertz's late winner ensured Mikel Arteta's men secured all three points to save the stand-in keeper's blushes at the Emirates on Saturday. The morning after, the 25-year-old, who replaced first-choice stopper David Raya as he was ineligible to face his parent club, took to Instagram to give his thoughts on an eventful contest.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Despite the England international making some important saves following his mistake, Raya, who will sign permanently for the north London outfit in the summer after a season-long loan spell from Brentford, is likely to be back in goal for Arsenal for the rest of the campaign. The former Sheffield United ace has been linked with a transfer exit after falling down the pecking order at the Emirates and while his future may lie elsewhere, Arteta still values his contribution to the squad.
