Earlier this summer, the north London side completed the permanent transfer of David Raya from Brentford, having had him on loan for the 2023-24 season. Ornstein also reports that the Premier League giants have already identified Ramsdale's replacement as they eye a move for Espanyol’s Joan Garcia whom they consider to be the ideal backup for Raya.

It is no secret that Ramsdale wants to move away from the Emirates Stadium as he seeks more first-team appearances in the upcoming 2024-25 season. Since Raya's arrival at Arsenal, the English custodian has managed to make just 11 appearances across all competitions.

Ajax are expected to come back with an improved bid as they seemed determined to rope in the 26-year-old in the ongoing summer transfer window.
