Bills vs Panthers Predictions

Bills vs Panthers Predictions, Picks & Odds: NFL Week 8 - 10/26

After a perfect 4-0 start, the Buffalo Bills (-7) have lost two straight games heading into their game against the Carolina Panthers (4-3), who are on a three-game winning streak. Buffalo should regroup on offense following the bye week, as over 46 points sits at -125.

  • Rico Dowdle 70+ Rushing Yards @ +300
  • Josh Allen 2+ Passing Touchdowns @ -125
  • Over 46 Points @ -110

Bills vs Panthers Picks

Run Run Rico - Rico Dowdle 70+ Rushing Yards (+300)

When fellow Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard missed two games with a calf strain, Rico Dowdle went off. Dowdle picked up a career-high 206 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries in the Week 5 win over the Dolphins.

Dowdle followed it up with 183 yards in a 30-27 win against the Cowboys and outperformed Hubbard in his return from injury during Week 7. Dowdle earned 17 carries and picked up 79 yards against the Jets, while Hubbard managed just 31 yards on 14 carries.

Don’t be surprised to see Dowdle’s workload remain high, given the performances he’s been putting in lately. Dowdle is averaging a career-high 5.6 yards per carry this season, and +300 odds on him to pick up 70+ yards are favorable.

The Bills are giving up an NFL-high 5.8 yards per rush attempt this season, opening the door for Dowdle to have another big game.

  • Bills vs Panthers Prediction 1: Rico Dowdle 70+ Rushing Yards @ +300 with bet365

Improvement Imminent for Josh Allen - Josh Allen 2+ Passing Touchdowns (-125)

Bills quarterback and reigning NFL MVP Josh Allen isn’t playing to the standard he set for himself last season. In the Bills’ 24-14 loss to the Falcons just before their bye week, Allen threw two picks for the first time since last November.

Allen has thrown interceptions in three straight games, but he’s also managed at least two touchdown passes in each of his last four games. Coming off the bye week, expect him to put in a more complete performance and cut down on mistakes.

The Panthers have given up at least two passing touchdowns in three of their last four games. Don’t at all be surprised if Allen has a multi-score game today. Bet on Josh Allen 2+ passing TDs at -125 odds.

  • Bills vs Panthers Prediction 2: Josh Allen 2+ Passing Touchdowns @ -125 with bet365

Don’t Overlook the Over - Over 46 Points (-110)

Today, I expect Buffalo’s offense to look a lot more like the unit that scored 30+ points in four straight games to start the season than the one that managed to score just 34 in its last two combined. Notably, the Bills are 8-0 since 2017, in games immediately following bye weeks.

The Panthers have allowed just 21.7 points per game this season, but they’ve also only played two top-half scoring offenses. Those teams, the Patriots and Cowboys, managed to drop 42 and 27 points on the Panthers, respectively.

Buffalo enters this one averaging 27.8 points per game, which ranks fourth in the league.

The total should go over if the Bills score 27 or more. Don’t expect a huge dropoff for the Panthers’ offense with Andy Dalton stepping in for the injured Bryce Young at QB.

Take over 46 points at -110.

  • Bills vs Panthers Prediction 3: Over 46 Points @ -110 with bet365

Bills vs Panthers Start Time

  • Start Time: 1:00pm EDT
  • Location: Bank of America Stadium
  • Address: 800 S Mint St, Charlotte, NC 28202
  • TV & Streaming: FOX, Fubo, Hulu, Sling TV, YouTube TV, NFL+

The Carolina Panthers are an impressive 5-2 ATS this season, and the Bills have failed to cover in four straight games. However, the Bills will undoubtedly make some adjustments coming out of the bye week, and Panthers QB Bryce Young is out with an ankle injury.
