What is the next Grand Slam in the tennis calendar?

The US Open is the last of the four major tournaments on the tennis calendar, and up next for all of your tennis fans.

The tournament's first round begins on August 24, and the men's singles final game takes place on September 7.

The US Open is now within touching distance, and it won't be long until the most talented tennis players on the planet are performing wonders on the hard courts of the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. We're guaranteed to be treated to some magical and memorable moments during the Flushing Meadows fortnight. You won't want to miss a single minute of action, and you won't have to. Every men’s and women’s singles match will be available to stream live throughout the tournament.

Jannik Sinner is the man of the moment and arrives in the Big Apple in fine fettle. The Italian sensation reached his fourth consecutive Grand Slam final when winning his first-ever Wimbledon title. That Final streak began at the US Open, when he outgunned the crowd favourite, Taylor Fritz, to land his second Slam title. However, the US Open has proved to be the most unpredictable of all the major titles, and a men’s champion hasn’t successfully defended the crown since Roger Federer sealed his 5th win on the spin in New York back in 2008.

The women’s singles competition has also been hard to call recently, with nine different winners in the past ten years. Serena Williams was the last woman to go back-to-back when winning her sixth and last US Open crown in 2014. Serena tops the women’s honours board alongside another former American favourite, Chris Evert. Evert would lift her six trophies aloft within 8 years (1975-1982). Coco Gauff, Madison Keys, Jessica Pegula, and Naomi Osaka are just a handful of Stars and Stripes hopefuls who will fancy their chances of giving the home crowds something to cheer about this time around.

In the United States, tournament coverage will be shown on ESPN and ABC and streamed on ESPN+.
